Study on the inhibitory effect of Pt dopant on nano-TiO_2 on growth of Cyanobacteria

AbstrcatThe content of chlorophyll,the rates of photosynthesis,photorespiration,superoxide dimutase activity as well as content of O_2·~- in Cyanobacteria are determined.The inhibitory effects of nano-TiO_2 and Pt dopant nano-TiO_2 on the growth of Cyanobacteria were studied.The current results have showed,compared with nano-TiO_2,Pt/TiO_2 was more effective in inhibiting growth of Cyanobacteria under the sunlight.In addition,the current study has shown that 1.5% of Pt dopant nano-TiO_2 exhibits the best inhibitory effect on the growth of algae of Cyanobacteria.
