The Determination of Trace Vanadium (V) through Kinetic Spectrophotometry Based on The Amaranth Oxidized by Potassium Bromate

A new spectrophotometric method of determination of trace amount vanadium(v) was developed.It is based on the fact that vanadium(v) can catalyze the decolorizing of amaranth with potassium bromate in the medium of sulphuric acid.The optium conditions have been studied.The linear range of vanadium(v) is 0.008~3.6μg/mL,and the determination limit is 4.02ng/mL.
