Research Advances in Suspension Culture and Secondary Metabolism Regulation of Panax spp.

The advances of research in suspension culture and secondary metabolism regulation of Panax spp.were reviewed,summarized and analyzed.The results were as follows: 1) The induction of suspension cell could be promoted by 2,4-D and NAA,PA and GA3 were two crucial substances for body cell embryo induction.The plasmid KCTC 2744 of Rhizobium rhizogenes could induce the production of adventitious root.2) Jasmonic acid and its derivatives could stimulate the signal transduction of the original ginseng glycol type saponins synthase,so as to promote the generation and accumulation of ginsenoside,PA gave the same effect.3) Moderate O2,CO2 and ethane could adjust the enzyme activity of culture,which was good for cell growth and accumulation of secondary metabolites.4) Cu and organic germanium of appropriate amount promoted the accumulation of ginsenoside,adequate N was benefit for the increase of culture,relative few amount of C was good for the accumulation of ginsenoside.In accordance with the advance review,the authors proposed their viewpoints for future research directions of Panax spp.suspension culture.
