THE GEOLOGICAL FEATURES AND EVOLUTION OF THE BAOZHU MT COMPLEX GRANITE BODY IN SE YUNNAN

Zhang Shitao; Chen Guochang (Regioncal Geological Survey, Yunnan Bureau of Geological Exploration)
The Baozhu Mountain granite body is a complex rock body. In 1989- 1994. we divided it into 23 intrusiv bodies, set up 7 units, and reduced to 2 successions and 1 independent unit by the method of litho-spectral unit classification in the 1: 50,000 regional geological sur-veying of Laozhaijie and Laojiezi sheets. Both petrological and geochemical features show all units belong to the "S" type granite. formed from Cretaceous to Palaeogene. From the earli-er stage to the later one, the rocks evolved in structure from the first stage structure to the second stage structure and then the microgranite structure, and acidic, alkalic components increased.
