Analyzing the Failure Rate of System Using Petri Net

Petri net is a powerful technique widely used in modeling and analysis of complex system. Due to its capability in modeling the dynamics of the system, Petri net has been combined with fault tree analysis techniques to determine the failure rates of the systems. This Paper proposed the Petri modeling of fault tree, analyzed the failure rate of systems, and an example of failure analysis of a robotic manufacturing cell is provided to demonstrate the developed method.
