Optimal Design of a Practical Dual-wavelength High-precision Fiber-optic Colorimeter

A new kind of the practical dual-wavelength fiberoptic colorimeter using LiTaO_3 pyroelectric detector is presented.This instrument consists of three parts:optical receiving system,signal amplifying and controlling system,and display system.According to the relationships among various technical parameters and main specifications(temperature resolving power and relative temperature measurement sensitivity of the single detector,temperature measurement sensitivity of R(T)~T curves and the ability of controlling reflection radiation),and after considering the minimal responsibility of the single detector and the effect on temperature measurement accuracy by absorption-selection gases in the optical path,an optimal parameter selection for determining two operating wavelengths and their bandwidths of this instrument is presented.At the same time,the effects on temperature resolving power and measurement sensitivity by the two operating wavelengths and their bandwidths are analyzed.The temperature measurement accuracy exceeds 0.20% at 400~1300℃,λ_1=2.1μm,λ_2=2.3μm and Δλ=20nm.
