Extraction of natural dyes from Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi

Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi was taken as the natural dyes object of study, and the influences of extraction time and cycles, reaction temperature and material ratio on extraction yield were discussed via orthogonal experiment and single factor experiment. The results showed that the maximum absorption wavelength of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi extraction was 273 nm, and the optimum extraction conditions were 2cycles of extraction at 100 ℃ for 90 min with material ratio of 1∶12. IR spectra and antibacterial test of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi extraction showed that Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi had certain antibacterial and anti-ultraviolet properties, and the main components of the extraction was baicalin.
