Study of Pre-process Slag Roasting During Leaching Cu-Co-Fe Alloy for Cobalt

Methods of pre-process slag roasting by adding 10%CaCO_3 and Na_2SO_3 were investigated during leaching Cu-Co-Fe alloy.The leaching rate of cobalt was 95% after roasting at 1 300 ℃ by adding CaCO_3.Furthermore,the leaching rates of cobalt reached 97% by adding 5% CaCO_3 and 5% Na_2SO_3.Both of them were great improvements compared with 50% by direct sulfuric acid leaching.CaCO_3 was normal industrial raw material,which was economical and more effective than Na_2SO_3,but effects of pre-process slag roasting by adding both of them were better than individual.
