NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF AE IN ROCK FAILURE

The basic idea and framework are presented for the numerical simulation of AE in rock failure. Some important problems are discussed briefly with the example of finite element method , such as discretization of elements, assignment of element parameters, and calculation of AE ratio. A practical computation example is given, from whose results the AE sequences for time and space are obtained.
