Analysis and Improvement on Brittle Fracture of Steel Frame Beam Column Joints

XIAO Li-ping(Nanchang Engineering & Research Institute of Nonferrous Metals, Nanchang, Jiangxi 330002, China)  
The article analyzes the reasons of brittle fracture at steel frame weld joints and puts forward methods of improving joint structure on the basis of scientific payoffs from China and foreign countries so as to greatly increase the energy dissipation capability, ductility and seismic resistance of the structures.
