The Application of Vacuum-Heaped Load Combining Precompression in the Consolidation of Soft Clay

Li Jihao( South China Agricultural University )  
According to the K .Terzaghi's effective pressure principle ,analyses the reinforcing mechanism of vacuum and surcharge precompression for soft foundations. The result of in site test and theoretical analysis indicate that vacuum-surcharge combining precompression is advantageous to stability of oad foundtion and is suitable for consolidating deep and thick soft caly.
