The effects of deep well dewatering on the earth pressure of supporting structure

During excavation of deep foundation pit, a lot of dewatering measures are adopted to ensure that the foundation pit is dry and the construction is convenient. The dewatering of foundation pit can cause the seepage outside and inside the foundation pit, and result in the changes of groundwater, earth pressure and mechanical properties, and directly affect the earth pressure acting on supporting structures. There are two kinds of method to calculate earth pressure, respectively, the calculation of separating water and soil from earth pressure and the calculation of mixing water and soil into earth pressure. Therefore, It is very important that the proper dewatering model should be selected and the seepage is considered when the supporting structure is designed in the process of dewatering of foundation pit
