TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE-JIEDEAN FOR CONTROLLING DRUG ABSTINENCE SYNDROMES AND ITS PHYSICAL DEPENDENCE IN RATS

This paper studied the effects of traditional chinese medicine-Jiedean on the controlling abstinence syndromes of morphine dependent rats and evaluated the physical dependence producing potential of Jiedean itself. The results showed that Jiedean could significantly control the abstinence syndromes of morphine addicted rats. There were significant differences in total scores of symptoms and weight loss between Jiedean treated groups and other withdrawal groups (P0.01).There was no signs of physical dependence in Jiedean treated rats.
