Relationship Research between Identity Iendency and Psychology Well-being of High School Students

Objective:This study explored the characteristics of high school students' identity style and psychological well-being,and their relationships.Methods:372 high school students in Wenzhou and Ningbo were measured by Identity Style Inventory and Psychological Well-being Scale.Results:In general,most high school-age adolescents were classified as informational style;High school students got the highest score in the personal growth of psychological well-being;Informational style was positively related to psychological well-being,whereas normative and diffuse/avoidant styles were negatively related to psychological well-being.Conclusion:Many high school students dealt with identity problem by informational style.High school-age adolescents in China had a higher level of psychological well-being,and identity style was closely linked to psychological well-being.
