Status and Innovation of Medical Laboratory Education

Objective To conduct a series of exploration and practice in the subject system for medical laboratory education, so as to build a new cultivation pattern which is adapted to subject development and social requirement, with the feature of our university. Methods Based on the analysis of our nation's medical laboratory education, combined with the complexion of our new four-year medical laboratory specialty and giving prominence to practice and innovation capability, reform and practice of the following aspects were carried out: cultivating target, curriculum system, teaching content and method of theory and practice, et al. Results A great progress has been made in teaching quality of four-year medical laboratory specialty with some teaching and scientific researching production. Conclusion The innovation and practice play an important role in promoting the cultivation of applied laboratory talents with solid medical foundation, strong practice capability, high integrative quality and innovating consciousness, and in promoting the affection of our medical laboratory. As a result, it will be applied more broadly.
