An Analysis of Mental Health and Its Related Factors Among MED-Preoperative in Patients with Lumbar Disc Herniation

To explore mental health and its related factors of patients with lumbar disc herniation in MED-preoperation and propose effective measures. Totally 442 patients with lumbar disc herniation in MED-preoperation, were involved in this study. The preoperative psychology was assessed with Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS), Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS). The SAS and SDS scores of patients with lumbar disc herniation in MED-preoperation were significantly higher than those of the nationalnorm, The degree of anxiety and depression were related to gender, age, marital status, scholar degree, acourse of an illness. We should take many kinds of measures to alleviate the degree of anxiety and depression in patients with lumbar disc herniation in MED-preoperation, promote their mental health and improve their life quality.
