The volume change of blood cells in diabetic nephropathy and its clinical significance

Objective:To discuss the volume change of blood cells in diabetic nephropathy(DN) and its clinical significance.Methods:96 diabetics were divided into simplicity diabetes mellitus(SDM) group,early diabetic nephropathy(EDN) group and clinical diabetic nephropathy(CDN) group by 24 hours UAER, 36 healthy people were in control group. Hb, HCT, MCV, MCHC and MPV were detected with automatic blood cell analysis instrument.Results:Compared with the control, the change of these indexes' values in SDM group were insignificant(P0.05);the values of MCV,MPV were increased while the values of MCHC was decreased in EDN and CDN groups, the difference was significant(P0.01).The values of MCV,MPV in CDN group were increased more than those in EDN group(P0.01).There was no significant difference in each group(P0.05);the values of MCV and MPV were positive-related to UAER(r=0.564、0.482,P0.01).Conclusion:The values of MCV,MPV are increased along with UAER,which may be relate to the formation and development of DN.
