Study on quick determination of water content in medicine by near infrared reflectance spectroscopy

Objective:To establish a method for quick determination of water content in medicine by near infrared re flectance(NIR) spectroscopy.Methods:Using Chinese traditional patent medicine and antibiotic vial powder as test samples,the content of water was analyzed by NIR spectra.The OPUS software was used to establish the calibration model for water content of individual medicine.Set up a quantitative determination of water species modules using the corresponding module varieties of drugs,and the water in drugs were determined.Results:It was a quick and accurate analysis method for determination of the water contents in Chinese traditional patent medicine and antibiotic vial powder.The accuracy was 97.0%-104.0%.Conclusion:The established method is a rapid and simple way with good accuracy and reproducibility for the determination of water content,and it is also a non-destructive assay.The method can be used in drug administration and supervision for quick determination of water content in medicine.
