Sealing Performance Analysis of the Plane Mechanical Seal

According to the problem of the sealing and service life of mechanical seal system, the geometrical model was established according to the principle of plane mechanical seal structure, and the influence factors of plane mechanical seal performance were determined by mathematical analysis, ANSYS and prototype test data analysis. The result of the analysis shows that the diameter of the chamber diameter of the sealed cavity is 76.2 mm, the spring ratio is 0.24 MPa, and the friction coefficient should be less than 0. 05, when the pressure in the sealing chamber is as high as 35 MPa, the relative speed of the sealing ring should be less than 60 r/min. When the pressure in the sealing chamber is reduced to 15 MPa, the relative speed of the sealing ring can reach 100 r/min. If the pressure of spring ratio, the friction coefficient of sealing surface, sealing chamber pressure and the relative speed of the sealing ring can be adjusted reasonably, the service life of the sealing system can be greatly improved.
