Sidelobe controling of the inverse beamforming

In order to reduce the sidelobe level of the conventional beamforming,a new sidelobe controling technology is presented.It uses the sidelobes of the direction function to estimate the respond of the acoustic intensity,which is then subtracted from the acoustic intensity estimated by array,to get the finial acoustic intensity.The sidelobes so estimated are reduced greatly because more sidelobes are subtracted.The technology can restrain effectively the interference,while retain the high-resolution of the conventional inverse beamforming.The results of a lake trial show the effectiveness and feasibility of the technology.
