Effects of Salicylic acid on the Photosynthesis of Apple Leaves

Salicylic acid(SA)solution 1mmol/L was smeared on the surface of Fuji apple leaves for investigating the effect of SA on the photosynthesis of apple leaves.The results showed that in a few hours SA increased the stoma resistance and decreased the photosynthesis ability of apple leaves.But in a long time period up to seven days SA could enhance the photosynthesis ability of apple leaves.The determinations of the chlorophyll content and stoma resistance of Fuji apple leaves could partly interpret this result.
