SEQUENCE ANALYSIS OF GLYCOPROTEIN I GENE OF MAREK′S DISEASE VIRUS CVI988

gI gene coding Glycoprotein was amplified from genomic DNA of MDV CVI988 vaccine strain by PCR. The amplified fragment was cloned into the plasmid vector pUC18 at polylinker via restriction endonuclease KpnⅠ and HindⅢ site. The positive recombinant plasmids with insert were screened by restriction endonuclease analysis and nucleotide sequencing. The obtained gI gene was compared with MDV GA and 648 strains, the results showed that most of the mutations were within the 600 base pairs of N terminal in the open reading frame of gI gene. The hydrophobicity plot and antigenic index of the predicted amino acid were also analysed by softwere DNAstar.
