Modal characteristics analysis of the laser cutting machine beam

Modal characteristics about beam of the laser cutting machine are analyzed by using ANSYS software.COMBIN 14 element is introduced in the finite element model to simulate the stiffness and damping of conjoint parts.The top 8-order natural frequencies and mode shape characteristics are selectively analyzed.Modal test on the beam is carried out in order to verify the accuracy of the finite element model.Several factors on the dynamic properties of the beams are analyzed,such as material type,rib arrangement,thickness and so on.Therefor the beam structure is optimized.
