Review on Vehicle-pedestrian Accident Reconstruction Techniques

Vehicle-pedestrian accident reconstruction,the crux of which is to enhance the reliability of reconstruction results,is a research hotspot in accident reconstruction field now.All methods in vehicle-pedestrian accident reconstruction were divided into six categories,which are "Throw Distance","Braking Distance","Pedestrian Injury","Vehicle Deformation","Other Traces" and "Simulation".The advantages and disadvantages of all these categories were analyzed.Further more,an idea to use all categories to obtain reliable results was given.Finally,in order to enhance the reliability of reconstruction results,the development direction of vehicle-pedestrian accident reconstruction technique,which are to develop more accurate reconstruction softwares,to study uncertainty of accident reconstruction results and to study relationships between traces,were pointed out.And topics,which are uncertainty of simulation results,interval-based uncertain optimization methods of vehicle-pedestrian accident reconstruction and relationships between traces,are worth expecting.
