THE VIBRATION CHARACTERISTICS OF TYPICAL GEARBOX FAULTS AND ITS DIAGNOSIS PLAN

Extracting precisely the vibration characteristics of typical gearbox faults is a key to its diagnosis.In the paper,by a lot of experiments nine typical faults in gearbox are analyzed,including profile error,tooth breaking,symmetrical tooth wear box resonance mild bending of shaft,serious bending of shaft,axial pulse of shaft,serious unbalance of shaft,and fatigue pitting of bearing.Their characteristics in time and frequency domain are summarized.On this base,the diagnosis plan by using two kinds of time domain analysis(original time domain signal and envelope signal) and three kinds of frequency domain analysis(frequency spectrum,zoom spectrum and selective zoom envelope spectrum) is introduced ,and it provides basement for designing of intelligent gearbox diagnosis system.
