NUMERICAL SIMULATION ON SHOCK ISOLATION OF BLAST-RESISTANT STRUCTURE WITH MAGNETORHEOLOGICAL DAMPERS

Little attentions have been paid to the application of shock isolation system with magnetorheological damper (MRD) in blast-resistant structures. The step current control method is proposed based on the characteristics of shock isolation of blast-resistant structures with MRD, and the modified Bouc-Wen Model and Matlab Simulink software are adopted to analyze the shock isolation performance of the structures with MRD. The analytical results show that the displacement, acceleration and VDV of the structure can be reduced effectively by MRD, and the proposed step current control method is more suitable for the application in blast-resistant structures as compared with the fuzzy control method.
