Observations on the Clinical and X-ray Changes of the Endemic Fluorosis Cases with Low Fluoride Drinking Water after 5 Years

The concentration of fluoride in drinking water reduced from 1.5-7.75 ppmto 0.8-1.2 in Shuangwopu and Anjia Hutong.After 5 years, the symptoms ofthe majority of 41 cases with endemic fluorosis remited and their ability to workimproved.The change of osteoporosis turned better. But the concentration offluoride in blood and urine remained the higher level.The ostesclerosis of indiv-idual case and the calcification of soft tissues around bone in most cases becamemore serious, probably, it was caused by the depositional macrofluoride in thehone.
