Discovery and identification of 4 Mdal plasmid of Y.pestis

Dongxing-qi,et al(Yunnan provincial institute for Epidemic Disease control)  
This paper describes a study on plasmid content of virulent strains of Y.pestis isolated from Lan-Cang andMong-Hai County in Yunnan Province,by using agrose gel electrophoresis method.A new plasmid with a molecularweight of ahout 4 Mdal was found besides the well known plasmid of 6,45 and 65 Mdal.The confirmation of thisnew plasmid will be of epidemiological significance in study of plague feature and its transmission in that district.
