Surveillance results of brucellosis in Mudanjiang area during 1998~2002

Objective To clarify the disese trends of human brucellosis in Mudanjiang area during1998-2002,to determine the epidemiological characteristics and risk factors and to develop the strategy for its prevention and control.Methods To implement requirement of brucella surveillance program according to the prevention and cure of brucella document.From1998~2002,continous surveillance of group people aged7~60years was done.Results A total of37cases were infected in Mudanjiang area in1998-2002,the brucella average infection rate was0.62%,the highest infection rate(0.84%)was happened in2002,these general trends on the cases of human brucellosis increased.Conclusions The ways is to adopt the available prevention and cur,to avoid the source of brucella infection,to strengthen the prevention and cure of the brucellosis among humans and animals,to strengthen surveillance,to control its outbreak and spread.
