A Research on the Junior High School Underachievers' Perceptual Learning Styles

With the purpose of identifying the characteristics of junior high school underachievers' perceptual learning styles,the study investigates 370 junior high school students about their perceptual learning styles by questionnaire,and finds that junior high school underachievers have the same preference on perceptual learning styles as gifted students and average students—they all like visual style best among the three categories.However,underachievers' preference on visual and auditory styles are much weaker than gifted and average students.In addition,in grade 2,junior high school underachievers' perceptual on auditory and haptic styles become much stronger than in grade 1.
