Mild Hypothermia on Severe Head Injury after Cerebral Vasospasm and Prognosis

Objective To explore mild hypothermia on severe cerebral vasospasm after traumatic brain injury and prognosis.Methods Sixty patients with severe traumatic brain injury were randomly divided into hypothermia treatment group and control group 30 cases respectirely,the control group received normal temperature routine therapy.After treatment the patients were the first 1,3,5,7d at the bedside transcranial dopple(rTCD)monitoring of middle cerebral artery mean flow velocity and extracranial internal carotid artery mean flow velocity,were compared the occurrence of cerebral vasospasm,spasm index changes and two on the prognosis.Results Aappear mild hypothermia group were significantly lower than the incidence of CVS control group(P0.05).Spasm index showed two groups:the first one day the two groups spasm index,the difference was not statistically significant(P0.05),the first 3 days,5 days,7 days,statistics show that two groups of spasm index,differences were statistically significant(P all0.05).And over time,the spasm index between the two groups the difference increases.Good prognosis of mild hypothermia group was significantly higher,and the morbidity and mortality were also significantly lower than the control group,after statistically show that the differences were statistically significant(P all0.05).Conclusion Mild hypothermia after severe head injury by stable cycle function,especially after severe head injury can stabilize the acute perfusion,decreased cerebral vasospasm incidence and thus significantly reduce the volume of brain edema and improve the prognosis,is worthy of promotion and application.
