Performance analysis of complementary code keying modulation under multipath Rayleigh fading channel

The performance of complementary code keying(CCK) modulation adopted in IEEE Standard 802.11b was investigated under multipath Rayleigh fading channel condition,and the closed-form expressions of bit error rate(BER) and codeword error rate(CWER) were derived.The mathematical descriptions of the transmitted signal and received signal were presented according to complementary code structure and multipath channel model.The expressions of the signal and signal-tonoise ratio at the correlator output were derived from the complementary code properties and CCK demodulation regulation.The closed-form expressions of BER and CWER were then obtained.Simulation link of IEEE Standard 802.11b 11 Mbps direct sequence spread spectrum(DSSS) baseband was constructed over CCSS platform. BER and CWER curves were obtained through numerical calculations and simulations.The validity of the formulae was proved by agreement of the numerical and simulation results.
