FEM analysis of the deep pit excavation with retaining structure of the double piles in soft clay

A 2D-finite element Program is developed for analysis of behaviour of retaining structure of the double-row piles in this paper.The characteristies of internal force and lateral displacement of this type of retaning structure on soft soils are analysed,The effects of the rigidity of the piles and beams,the properties of soil,the distance of the double-row piles,the reinforcement of the passive area on internal force and lateral displacement of the retaining design are given.
