Study on status of HCMV infection and FQ-PCR detection in infants with jaundice

Objective:To investigate the status of human cytomegalovirus(HCMV) infection in infants with jaundice.Methods:FQ-PCR was used to detect HCMV-DNA in urine from 203 infants with jaundice.Results:Among the 203 cases,52 were positive((25.62%).The) level of HCMV-DNA was not correlated with clinically apparent disease.Conclusion:HCMV is one of the factors resulting in infants with jaundice.FQ-PCR assay can monitor HCMV infection of infants with jaundice to treat them and decrease birth rate of abnormal infant effectively.
