Morphological Genetic Diversity of Bromus L.

Phenotypic diversity of 13 species of Bromus L.were analyzed using 30 morphological traits,The results showed that there were significant differences among Bromus species and the genetic diversity was higher.Variation coefficient ranged from 7.59%~127.01%,morphological traits with larger variation were length of lemma awn,first internode length of rachis,vein number of lower glume,length of leaf blade,length of anther et al.The results of principal component analysis showed that cumulative contribution rate of the first 6 principal components was 87.29%,and spikelet number on ramify,vein number of lower glume,length of ligule,vein number of upper glume,width of lemma,length of lemma awn,width of leaf blade,tiller number,length of spikelet,first internode length of rachis,length of lower glume,width of palea,panide internode number were the main factors which brought about morphological variation.Cluster analysis based on the morphological traits showed that all of these traits were divided into five groups: group one: length of caryopsis,group two: width of palea,group three: length of palea,length of lemma and length of lower glume,group four: first internode length of rachis,vein number of lower glume and length of lemma awn,group five: the rest traits.13 species were divided into four groups: group one: B.inermis,B.rubens,B.marginatus,B.biebersteinii×B.inermis,B.catharticus,B.biebersteinii,B.beneken,B.remotiflorum,B.tectorum and B.variegatus,group two: B.plurinodes,group three: B.japonica,group four: B.scoparius.
