Experimental Research of Heat Transfer Enhancement in Condenser with the Spirally Corrugated Tube

The heat exchanger has steam (about 0.12MPa) to be condensed outside the tube and coolant water to flow through the tubes. The experimental results show that the overall heat transfer coefficient of the heat exchanger with the.spirally corrugated tube is 25% to 48% higher than that with the smooth tube. The experimental results of heat transfer coeffcient and of hydraulic resistance of the spirally corrugated tube are presented in the paper.The pressure of the condenser with spirally corrugated tube in turbine N25-3.43/435 is 1.16kPa lower than that with the smooth tube, therefore, the application of condenser with spirally corrugated tube will be widely purposed.
