A NOVEL SCHEME TO DISCRIMINATE INRUSH CURRENT AND FAULT CURRENT BASED ON INTEGRATING THE WAVEFORM

A novel Scheme of the discrimination between inrush and fault current is presented in the paper. It's obvious that there is great difference between the inrush and the fault current waveform. How to aharact characteristics of the difference is the key to this problem. Based on fuzzy sets, an integrated algorithm describing the smpetry of former half circle and latter half circle of current waveform is developed. All the principles are verified by the EMTP and the simulation Lab of North China Electric Power University.
