STUDY ON EXPERIMENT AND THE PRINCIPLE OF AIR SURROUNDING FUEL (ASF) PULVERIZED COAL COMBUSTION

The principle of ASF(Air\|Surrounding\|Fuel) for coal combustion is described as follows: in pulverized coal (PC) ignition zone, high temperature and high PC concentration are formed, meanwhile, outside the ignition zone,especially near the water cooled wall,an oxidizing atmosphere zone is also formed. Horizontal Bias Combustion PC burners and Radial Bias Combustion swirl PC burners embody the theory.A series of test model measurement of such burners with a test facility,a pilot scale plant,as well as industrial plant,on the PC ignition,burn\|out,NOx formation,slagging and high temperature corrosion is taken in the present paper.
