A NOVEL DETECTING METHOD OF THE ROTOR POSITION OF PMSM

This paper presents a novel method using one latched Hall IC to detect the rotor position of PMSM in wide speed range to overcome the limitation of other recentdetecting methods. The conversion and compensation of the rotor position signal are analyzed in detail. The steadyprecision and the harmonics of three-phase reference voltages in dynamic state are analyzed. Speed-stabilization control of a 30,000 r/min PMSM is achieved with this method. Thetheoretical analysis and experimental results show that this method has the wide detecting range and the high precision. So the method is especially suitable for speed-stabilization control.
