THE DESIGN OF ORTHOGONAL PHASOR FILTER WITH IDENTICAL MAGNITUDE-FREQUENCY CHARACTERISTICS AND OPTIONAL DATA-WINDOW

A new design method of orthogonal phasor filter is presented in this paper. The filter designed in this way has advantages as follows: Its real and imaginary parts filtering functions have identical Magnitude-Frequency Characteristics. The filtering functions have orthogonal Phase-Frequency Characteristics at the fundamental frequency. And the filters data-window can be chosen at any length. For validity testifying, a series of filters designed in this method have been used in EHV relay devices with expected effect.
