STUDY ON EFFECT OF LOW FREQUENCY OSCILLATION MODES IN LARGE DISTURBANCE STABILITY

On the basis of the theory of normal forms of vector fields, a numerical differentiation algorithm to figure out nonlinear normal transformation coefficient is presented in this paper. Then the normal forms transformation of the nonlinear vector fields is finished and the second-order analytic solution of the power system is solved. An analytical index to distinguish the dominant low frequency oscillation modes following a large disturbance is obtained. Thereby the low frequency oscillation modes come into contact with the stability analysis under large disturbance , through nonlinear interacting among the low frequency oscillation modes and other modes and the state variables. Some new phenomenon are revealed from the other side which cannot be touched by the classical stability analysis under large disturbance and some new points of view are gained.
