TRANSFER FUNCTION IDENTIFICATION USING ITERATIVE PRONY METHOD

This paper presents a method of identifying reduced order lineage models of power system. An iterative algorithm is used to improve the analysis performance and by using particular input signal,the Prony analysis can have the ability to identify transfer function.When using the proposed method for Power system stabilizer (PSS) design, it can obtain initial condition residues and the transfer function at the same time.For the transfer functions contain the information of other units in the system,multi-machine coordinated control can be achieved,which extremely extends the ability of the method in actual system. The analysis and the procedure developed are tested on two examples.
