A STRATEGY OF REACTIVE POWER OPTIMIZATION FOR DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM CONSIDERING CONTROL ACTION COST AND TIMES

A new strategy of voltage-reactive power optimization for distribution system, considering control action cost and times, is proposed to avoid the equipments operating too much and frequent. Two-stage optimizations, i.e. the pre-optimization and the real-time control optimization are presented. The former is made separately for each time interval over dispatching period by load forecasting. In the latter, the optimal multi-objectives include sensitivity, equipment action cost and times, and accordingly the system voltage, power loss, equipment endurance and control action times can be optimized comprehensively. The improved Genetic Algorithm (GA) is adopted in the two-stage optimizations and some measures are taken in order to speed up the progress of computation and reduce the influence of stochastic results. The method based on this strategy can take account of the demand of dispatch decision-maker and be used to online practice operation effectively.
