Study on Dynamic Behavior of the Combustion System of a Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler

According to the profile of the solid suspension density along the height of the furnace which was obtained by many hot test measurement in different operating mode,and on the basis of the correlations between the exit suspension density of each zone and the dominant operating factor of CFB boiler,as well as the correlations between average suspension density of each zone and the dominant operating factor of CFB boiler,a mathematical model is developed to study the dynamic behavior of the combustion system,through simulation,this paper works out follow responses :Material bed temperature responses,main steam pressure responses,flue-gas oxygen concentration responses and material bed pressure drop to step changes in fuel feed rate,to step changes in primary air feed rate,to step changes in secondary air feed rate,to step changes in ash removal rate and to step changes in combustion rate,some of these achieved responses fit well with the corresponding experimental results,and also main steam pressure response to step change in opening of the turbine control valve is simulated.Furthermore,a transfer function matrix is presented which can be used in the design of control system for the combustion system of a CFBC,the factors affecting the dynamic behavior has been discussed,this paper establish a platform for the study on the control strategy of combustion system of the CFBC boiler.
