Coordinated Secondary Voltage Control Method Considering Reactive Power Coupling Among Multiple Correlated Zones

To eliminate the reactive power coupling among controlled zones in coordinated secondary voltage control(CSVC), a novel CSVC method considering reactive power coupling based on the centralized control structure of AVC system in China was proposed. Reactive regulations of controlled generators outside were introduced into objective and constraints of the original quadratic model to establish a new CSVC model considering reactive power coupling among multiple correlated zones. According to non-cooperative game theory, the problem of CSVC considering reactive power coupling among multiple correlated zones could be described as Cournot model. And Nash equilibrium, the solution of Cournot model, could be found by an algorithm to solve all quadratic programming models simultaneously based on interior-point algorithm. The Nash equilibrium means the best control strategy in CSVC which can keep each controlled zone running independent and solve the coordination problem among zones well. Computational results on IEEE 39-bus and a real provincial power system illustrate that control oscillation caused by the reactive power coupling among zones is effectively attenuated, which proves that this new method can solve coordination problems among controlled zones satisfactorily.
