On the Reform of China's Criminal Justice Supervision Procedure

Now, people in China focus on the revision of the Criminal Procedure Law. This article concerns the criminal retrial procedure and concludes three parts: the necessity of existence and to reform this procedure, rationale of improvement and several detailed suggestions. The authors think the criminal retrial procedure is helpful to carry out justice. Chinese criminal retrial procedure has some obvious defects and needs to reform according to a couple of modern principles such as res judicata and prohibition against double jeopardy.
