In translation studies, one of the fundamental questions is how to define the translator's role. This paper intends to propose "translator-centeredness" as against "translator's subjectivity" and discusses it on various planes. It holds that "translator-centeredness" will help justify the translator's subjectivity, creativity and authority in the process of translation.
