Study on the Two-dimension Numerical Wave Tank Based on Fluent

In this paper,a two-dimension numerical wave tank is proposed based on the Fluent software by means of secondary development using C language.The N-S equations and RNGΚ?εturbulence model are used with the VOF method(volume of fluid).The unstructured grid is divided by the pre-processing software ICEM(Integrated Computer Engineering and Manufacturing Code).The simulated water surface in the wave tank is compared with the theoretical results to verify the wave tank.Then a structure is put into the numerical wave tank and the comparison between the numerical results with measured data shows the validity of numerical generated wave which is a good foundation for the further numerical study on the hydrodynamic character of structures in wave tank.
