Effects of Rutin on Growth Performance,Serum Biochemical Indexes and Ascites Syndrome of AA Broilers

The aim of this study was to study the effects of different levels of rutin on growth performance,serum biochemical indexes and ascites syndrome of AA broilers at 1 to 42 days of age.Two hundred 1-day-age AA broilers were selected and randomly divided into 4 groups,each group had 5 replicates and each replicate had 10 birds.The control group was fed with a corn-soybean meal diet.In the experimental group,0.4%,0.8% and 1.2% of rutin powder were added to the basal diet,respectively.The trial period was 42 days.The results showed that compared with the control group,the addition of 0.4% rutin in the diet had no significant effect on the average daily feed intake,average daily weight gain and feed to weight ratio of 1 to 42 days of age(P0.05).The average daily weight gain,average daily feed intake and feed to weight ratio of AA broilers at 1 to 21 days of age and 22 to 42 days of age were significantly increased by dietary 0.8% rutin powder(P0.05).The addition of 1.2% rutin powder in the diet reduced the average daily weight gain,average daily feed intake and feed weight ratio of AA broilers at 1 to 21 days of age and 22 to 42 days of age(P0.05).It′s concluded that the most appropriate amount of rutin in the diet of AA broilers was 0.8%,which could not only improve production performance,but also significantly reduce the incidence of ascites syndrome in broilers.
