Analysis on Slave-Steer of the Car Rear-Axle

Through explaining what is the steering behavior of a car and analyzing on the demands of steering behavior in all operating modes, this paper pointed out that the steering behavior should be changed with the velocity and the steering angle. Then the conclusions are put forward,i.e. the carriage must have the trend of lowering under-steer or raising over-steer when the velocity is reducing or the steering angle is increasing rapidly, and it is the conversely the other way round. Further more, this paper analyzed the slave-steer of the Dongfeng-citroen rear-axle, which proved that the conclusion is feasible.
